It all started simply — with a love for this part of the world, and a family who believes in doing things properly.
Growing up right here in Hampshire countryside, I was the kid who was always outside — helping my dad in the garden, digging, planting, learning that patience and care actually show. My grandad was a artist — I grew up watching him paint & build things that stood the test of time, teaching me: "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right." That phrase has stuck with me every single day.
Years later, after working for other landscaping companies and seeing how corners get cut, promises get broken, and homeowners get left frustrated — I realised there had to be a better way. So in 2018, with just a van, some basic tools, and that old family motto ringing in my ears, Penny's Landscapes was born.
It really was a family affair from day one. My partner helps with the design side and admin, my brother lends a hand on busy weeks, and even my mum still drops around with tea and moral support. We started small — one patio, one garden, one happy customer at a time. Word spread because we didn't cut corners, we turned up when we said we would, and we actually listened to what people wanted.
Today we're still family-run — no big corporate office, no shareholders to answer to — just us, showing up, caring like it's our own garden every time. We don't pretend to be the biggest, but we genuinely aim to be the kindest and most reliable.
